Buddy was adopted in September from the Indiana IG Rescue group. My Ig Enzo, barely two, died from complications after a broken leg. His 10mth old IG pal, Massimo, was heart broken (as was I). It was clear we all needed a new pal to help us get through our grieving. When I saw Buddy's picture it was "love at first sight"! His loveable eyes and "little old man" face were just the cutest things I'd ever seen. I had heard that Buddy had a brother that was adopted without him and that he had been adopted once himself but that it wasn't a good fit. Buddy needed a good home and we needed a good buddy for our family- a good match for sure.
Buddy traveled like a pro from Indiana to Metro-Detroit Michigan. Although he was a little leary of the 'very interested to meet him' Massimo,
he was friendly from the start. And though it took him a few weeks, he finally came out of his shell. Buddy and Massimo are definately brothers;
they fight, play, and nap with each other everyday; and of course, compete for attention. Buddy has taught Massimo some nice manners and in return, he learned how to let loose.
We are so happy to have Buddy as part of our family and though we are sad he couldn't stay with his original owner and brother Charlie,
we know he is one happy IG at his new "Forever Home"!
